Intermittent pops/crackles/recording issues
I've been having this issue for a while and I *think* I've pinned it down to Amadeus Pro (but further testing continues). Most of the time, it records fine, but sometimes I get pops/crackles/dropouts or other such garbled blocks of audio. Usually for just a second (2-3 at the most). My recording set...

Re: Forced upgrade?
Version 1.5.5 was the last of the 1.x versions… Regards, Martin Ah thanks for clarifying. I will disable the updates then for the time being. It's a great product, which saves me a lot of time in my audio production (sadly all unpaid so far) and I'll be upgrading in due course. Keep up the good work.

Re: Forced upgrade?
Ah. I wasn't sure whether doing that would prevent me from receiving bug fixes for 1.5.5.Martin Hairer wrote:Also, you can disable the update checking in the preferences.
Regards,
Martin
Or will there no more bug fixes for the older version, now?

Forced upgrade?
Hi, Since v2.0 of Amadeus Pro has been released, I get a nag screen every time I open it, that I should upgrade/pay. This is a bit irritating to be honest. Today, I opened Amadeus Pro, and without asking me - it downloaded version 2.0 and presented me with this screen: http://www.bjsproductions.co.u...

random fade ins
Hi, Not sure if this is a bug or if I'm doing something. I have a sound, select part of it, and hit backspace (or go edit->delete - it doesn't really matter) to remove a part. I've just done this a few times, and each time it deletes the section I asked for, but also adds a ramp from 0 to 100%, thro...

Another way of transferring from iTunes is to burn an Audio CD (use a rewritable CD so you don't waste it) and then open the resulting files. This is probably even faster. Ah. Now thats impressive. I didn't even realise I could edit directly from CD without importing/converting first. Ripping/findi...

Thanks for your quick response CDJonah_alt. Will checkout the software you mentioned. I did have all tracks marked for playing, but I was double clicking a track and expecting it to play all tracks at the point I clicked. Do you have to move the playback head manually to before the section you want ...

questions from Windows and audition user
Hi everyone, I'm a long time Windows user recently switched to a Mac. I've been hunting for a Mac equivalent of Audition/Cool Edit, and Audacity is a bit basic/fiddly. I had a go with a trial of Adobe Soundbooth but it seems needlessly complicated (not to mention very expensive), considering how goo...
