Is there some way to get Amadeus Pro to encode mp3 or mp4a file using Quicktime instead of LAME? I realize LAME may have more options and a bit better sound quality, but it is painfully slow and Quicktime would suffice for me.

When I split a long (hour-ish) file into (20-ish) individual mp3 files it takes many minutes. I suspect this is because it is using LAME instead of the built in mp3 encoder. Any possibility of offering the Mac's built-in encoder as an option (assuming it is indeed faster)?
