Bitrate in File Info different from source file

I have an mp3 file that is at 320 kb/s - I checked it with MediaInfo to make sure. When I drag it onto the Amadeus Pro icon or right-click and choose Open with..., then and check the Sound Info, it says 192 kb/s. However, if I open it from within the application, it shows 320. I wonder how many file...

I think the issue, and I'm certainly no expert on anything here, has to do with sound purity. In several of the articles I read, the suggestion was to do the EQ, processing, etc. at the "front end" of the recording. This makes sense as it is part of the art of recording. However, when cons...

Equalize Volume Across Many Tracks

I have been building an extensive library of recordings by Billie Holiday. These tracks came from many sources - CDs, vinyl LPs, YouTube videos. As you can imagine the variance in sound quality, EQ, volume level, etc. is all over the map. But I'd at least like to bring things to an "average&quo...

AAC and VBR

In iTunes import preferences for the AAC format, there is a choice for VBR (Variable Bit Rate). This option isn't available (or I don't see it) for saving Amadeus Pro MPEG-4 audio files. When I save a file in AAC from Amadeus it doesn't indicate that it's VBR in iTunes (converting a file inside iTun...
