Jonah (like Conan) the "Defender"

Jonah, Martin can always count on you as his defender. Though "snarky" (whatever that means) or not, you also consistently miss the point. Dave _______________________________________________ Amadeus forum mailing list Unsubscribe / change settings at http://two.pairlist.net/mailman/listin...

Need For Re-Documentation

Martin, "At the end of the day," as you say, I too expect that you're right. To say the least, there hasn't been an outpouring in this forum of new- manual requests. If users, or that portion of them who look at this forum, aren't interested then probably very few others would be as well. ...

Need For Re-Documentation

Martin, Kind of funny to see that you've appended a reply you gave earlier to me (in your original message 4 on April 10). I suppose there's nothing wrong with repetition. Somehow, though, I had this weird thought that I'd been transported into a Kafkaesque landscape. You've taken the liberty of rep...

Need For Re-Documentation.

Thanks to Guntis, some illogicalities in interface and the need for revamped documentation come to attention again. It simply does not do for Martin to publish a sheet of "shortcuts" as a summary of some of AP's capabilities. That Martin is responsive to usage questions on a piecemeal basi...

Toolobar Addition

Hello Martin,

Any chance of adding an undo-redo button to the toolbar? I haven't
seen that in the customization drop-down. Thanks.

Dave

Hello Barrie,

The manual is marvelous! Many thanks. Among its other virtues, it does that rare thing of organizing iMovie instructions as a logical workflow. Being shown what issues to take up after the one you're on, is the mother of all instructions.

Gerard and Norm thanks a lot, Gerard, I've opened Hyperengine AV (in my intel Core Duo, Tiger) and it opens ''. What else it can do beyond showing my audio in its timeline, I don't know. I haven't found any documentation yet. And, LAB ("low and behold"), Norm, you've done it! Thanks a...

Girard, I'd attempted the straightforward approach you suggest (and did it again just now). Technically, you're correct. You can import sound and photos to the timeline; actually, it doesn't matter whether you first import sound or photos. But, here's where iMovie's capability seems to end. After yo...

mitchellm,

I'm intrigued. I hadn't thought of any other applications of the concept. How might it be useful for other purposes?

Hello Norm, Unfortunately, it seems that iMovie oughta fill the bill but appearances can be deceiving. Have you actually done it? iMovie works, as far as I know, only when a visual component first is laid down. You can then attach voice/music to it. If, somehow, I've missed a trick I'd very much app...

A New Capability Perhaps?

Martin, I'd like to suggest a "product/capability" that I haven't found elsewhere despite extensive searching. And, it may build very smoothly upon the existing AP framework: an audio-based "slideshow". As you know, every current "slideshow" product (iPhoto/iMovie/iDVD ...

How To Have Waveform Move Instead of Vertical Line?

Sorry. I know this came up before. I've apparently lost the postings and "search" has not turned up anything. My question, as the subject line says, is that, upon playback, I want to be able to see the waveform scrolling past a stationary vertical line in the center of the window. How is t...

There seems to be somewhat of a backlash here. I'm not complaining, just observing. JEGG asked Rob "why did you buy it in the first place?" Humm. And to me: Bryan says "be happy" and "feel free to write" it myself, and CDJonah says writing a (good) manual "is not f...

HAH!! You've, no doubt, nailed it.

The one discordant note, though, is that it seems to me Martin willingly steps in to offer "problem" advice. Why so amenable to the time and effort of this personal approach yet skimping on the time/effort to make a more usable manual?
