Mac freezes when I hit record

Have a new Mini-Mac with OS X 10.8.3. Amadeus Pro version is 2.1.3 (just did a re-install). Every time I click on the record button my computer freezes. I have to do a force quit and restart. The only way I can successfully record a track is to click on the Sound menu and choose Record to new docume...
