I'm also having the same problem with the APP Store Version 2.1 (1523)

Every time I try to open a mp3 nothing happens, I checked console and see mpg123 crashed.

I try to save as mp3 in console Lame has crashed...

I'm running 10.8.2, hope this can be rectified soon....
