It had stopped recording but had not been saved. The computer was restarted. If I do this with any other software it always brings up the unsaved file when the computer restarts. In this case it simply disappeared. it is not in the trash and there were no warnings either before or after restarting. ...

Shut down computer without saving - lost file
I recorded a sound file and then had to shut down the computer, not realising I had not saved the file. In any other software this doesn't seem to matter, but when my computer reopened there was nothing there. Is there anywhere I can retrieve it, please?
