I'm having the exact same issue: it looks like the drop-down status window is supposed to come out... but doesn't. Can't close, can't save, can't Save As..., nothing. One thing I did notice is that if I save as "Variable Bitrate" it works fine... but if I try to save as a Constant Bitrate ...
