Feature Request: .SHN Import

Post by sthodges »

Hello,
I have a large amount of music encoded in the (older) Shorten (.SHN) lossless format, which I would like to edit in AP before exporting in a another (more useful) lossless format. There are a couple of Mac options to convert .SHN files to uncompressed audio, but it would save me a step if I could directly import them into AP.
Thanks for your consideration!
Cheers,
Steve

Sorry, but since shorten has been abandoned long ago, I do not have
plans to implement it. However, you can install the "shorten" command-
line utility via MacPorts, which would then allow you to easily batch
convert your collection of .shn files into WAVE. Regards,

Martin

Hi Martin,
Thanks for the tip -- I didn't think to check in MacPorts for a command line shorten utility! I can write a simple perl script to batch convert my collection of files before bringing them into Amadeus Pro.
Cheers,
Steve
