Mac Conflict

Post by mdsand »

Hey Martin-

I upgraded three programs on my MacBook Pro last night and today I have no Amadeus, so thought I better warn you about a conflict. The updates were iTunes 8.0.2, Safari 3.2.1, and something concerning "pro applications" which I assume does something with my Logic Pro.

I figure it's the last upgrade that ko'd my Amadeus. If I try to launch Amadeus today I get this message:

You cannot open the application “Amadeus Pro” because it is not supported on this architecture.

Don't know what I should do now. Not a computer nerd. Just a songwriter who's used this program for a number of years.

Oh, and I also installed "Tape Deck" that's available on the Apple website!

For what it's worth, I've done the iTunes (downloaded, not via
Software Update) and Pro Apps (via Software Update because there was
no downloadable update) updates on my Mac Pro and Amadeus is still
here, but haven't updated Safari. And, the last Pro Apps update was
for Compressor.

Well, after thinking about it for a while, which sometimes helps, I just downloaded a new copy of Amadeus Pro...and it works fine.
Sorry about the panic.

So by your own logic, you must be a 'computer nerd' after all...
