VST Plug in

Post by Stephanie »

I downloaded the VST plug in from the Amadeus website. When I tried to use one of them I got an error message telling me: unable to open VST plug-in. One possible cause that you are trying to run a PowerPC plug-in on an Intel Mac. Another possible cause is that the plug-in uses a too old format. I have an iMac G5 Power PC, OS 10.4 and use Amadeus Pro. The plug in does work with Amadeus II but I need to use the Pro version.

Hello Stephanie,

This happened to me. I discovered that if I put the VST plug-ins into
the folder at /Library/Audio/Plug-ins instead of the plug-ins folder
of my home library it worked. I would say this is a bug. I have a G4
running Leopard.

I trashed the VST plug-in in my user/library/audio/plug-ins folder. I placed the VST folder in library/audio/plug-ins folder. Restarted. Received the same error message. I guess this bug is kinda stubborn.

Oh well, it worked for me. Hope you can find a way around it.
