Problem with new plugin

Post by ezlxq1949 »

I've just discovered a plugin which permits spectrum editing of the waveform: Spectro from Stillwell Audio (http://www.stillwellaudio.com/?page_id=32). Exciting and potentially very useful. I've tried Pristine Sounds to do spectrum editing and it's slow, imprecise and works in a tiny little non-resizable window (a real problem with large monitors).

I downloaded the trial version of Spectro, both VST and AU flavours. When either is invoked it appears in the usual plugin window, but does nothing. I got this info from the writer:
Spectro depends on getting timeline information from the host ... I haven't tried Amadeus, but I know that some audio editors (for example Wavosaur, and older versions of Audition) don't send timeline information to plugins, so Spectro can't draw anything (because even if you did draw a region, there's no way for Spectro to know when to apply that region). It's likely that's the problem with Amadeus too.
Would it be possible to modify Amadeus so that it can use Spectro?
