Amadeus v1.3.3 beta 1

OS X 10.5.4
MacBook Pro
---------------
I've been trying to use PeakLimiter to fix some live recordings.
I've found that after applying PeakLimiter to a file with no clipping, when I check Waveform Statistics it says that the file has Clipped Samples.
In addition, if I use "Find Next Clipped Sample" on the file I find a lot more clipped samples than Waveform Statistics reports even if I sum both channels.
Isn't PeakLimiter supposed to automatically limit the output so it isn't clipped?
In addition, there seems to be a discrepancy between the number of clipped samples found in Waveform Statistics and those found in "Find Next Clipped Sample". I've only noticed this after using PeakLimiter.
Thanks.

AUPeakLimiter and/or WaveForm Statistics Problem
I suppose that you are referring to Apple's AUPeakLimiter Audio Unit.I've been trying to use PeakLimiter to fix some live recordings.
I've found that after applying PeakLimiter to a file with no
clipping, when I check Waveform Statistics it says that the file has
Clipped Samples.
I don't have any control over what this does However, the
discussion <http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jsp ... ID=1365314>
on Apple's forums may shed some light on the problem you experienced.
Regards,
Martin
