Very slow save time after an MP3 file edited
Why is this (e.g., five or more minutes for a 40-minute clip if all I've done is cut part of the clip off). Any way to speed this up? Total Recorder on the PC, for example, is much faster than this, usually just a minute of two to save a changed clip.

What quality are you using for the mp3 conversion? To compare 2
different programs on this, you have to make sure you are converting
with comparable quality.

...and that you are actually converting. I don't know anything aboutWhat quality are you using for the mp3 conversion? To compare 2

Windows programs in general and that program in particular, but if
your edits are limited to cut and paste, then it is possible to
perform that directly on an Mp3 file without reencoding it (Fission
does that on MacOS X for example). This would of course make the
saving near-instantaneous. Being an all-purpose waveform editor,
Amadeus Pro doesn't support this. Regards,
