mp3 tags

Post by smithsm »

I've encountered a couple of problems with deficiencies in the way in which Amadeus handles mp3 tags.

1. In the metadata panels of the Infos screen, there is no provision for wrapping the text in long fields. It would be nice to be able to resize this screen or to have text wrap.

2. There is, apparently, no support for non-standard genres. I have hundreds of mp3 files of bird calls, for which I use a variety of user-created genres. These work just fine in iTunes and on a Palm, but Amadeus doesn't see these genres at all.

3. I embed a lot of information in the Comments: tag (where the recording was made, whether this is an alarm call, a flight call, etc.). Amadeus displays NONE of this information. Indeed, the Comments box ALWAYS shows "Some comment here" even though there is ALREADY a comment stored.

iTunes and programs such as Fission handle this information flawlessly. So should Amadeus.

Hi, I noticed that problem with handling the "Comment" tags the other
day. The version at

should fix it. Regards,

Martin

Thanks -- this fixed the display of the Comments: tag.

I hope you can provide a fix for the display of tagged information, allowing wrapping of long tags.

And support for non-standard genres would be great too!

By the way, I just updated that version. It should now support custom
genre tags.
Cheers,

I have just downloaded the newest version of Amadeus Pro, and I cannot find this feature. I would like to be able to assign a custom genre tag in the batch processing module because I am processing audiobooks and there is no genre tag remotely related to audiobooks. How can I add or specify my own genres?

thanks!
