Simplest method of converting two mono files to one stereo

Post by nickharambee »

Hi,

I have two mono files recorded using different microphones and I want to combine these into one stereo file. What's the simplest way of doing this using Amadeus Pro? I have a lot of files to convert, so if there is a batch method that would be best.

Thanks for any advice.

Nick

1. Make a new file.
2. Split the file in to two tracks.

3. Now, take the file you want to be the left channel and place it in the top track and name it so you can refer back if need be.

4. Now, do the same with the file you intend for the right channel.

5. Now, combine tracks.

HTH.

Won't the Smart Editing feature put the two channels a bit out of alignment?
Perhaps best to turn that off first.

Not if you drag and drop the entire track to the new document. It might slightly mess things up if you use copy / paste instead. Regards,

Martin
