I'm not understanding this, apparently:
1. Zoom H6 records discrete tracks, not stereo.
2. In Amadeus Pro, merge the tracks.
3. Save-As to Amadeus format.
4. I need stereo AIFF for Final Cut Pro. But doing save-as for AIFF tells me the two tracks will be bounced to a single mono channel, which I don't want.
5. Convert track to stereo makes either Channel 1 or Channel 2 into a stereo channel which I also don't want.
Hmmmmmm. I'm missing something elementary, I"m sure, but hope you can point me in the right direction.
Thanks,

Hi John, each track has a "playback" menu. You should set the left channel to "front left" and the right channel to "front right", then save to AIFF. This should work.
Instead of step 2, you can also simply drag both tracks from the Finder onto an empty Amadeus Pro document. This should "do the right thing", making an educated guess as to which track is left and which is right based on the filename (if it ends in _L or .L it's likely to be the left channel)... Regards,
Martin
