I have "dead space" before and after my podcast episode which is 43 minutes long. How do I delete it so the mp3 file is the actual length of the episode instead of 55 minutes with the dead space?

click-drag to select and hit backspace to delete, or am I misunderstanding the question?

I don't believe I was clear. There is 11 minutes of "nothing", no audio on the timeline at all before my podcast starts. I need to either move the entire podcast to start at 0 or delete the "dead space". Same applies to the end. I saved an MP3 to put on iTunes and it was 55 minutes long instead of 43.

Thanks Martin!!

Sorry, but it seems that I still don't understand... Why couldn't you just select the silent bit and delete it? Regards,

Martin
