Seamless loop playback from any point

Post by sweetbutt »

hello!

is it possible to place the red cursor anywhere on the file and get a seamless loop playback from the beginning?

so far I've only been able to do it by starting from the beginning, but I'm handling quite long loops and I need to do quick checks at the end of the file quite often to find the right looping point

so far I'm forced to re-listen to the whole file everytime to hear it looped

thanks!

Try setting markers where you want the loop to occur, then check the loop box after selecting in-between the markers.

Take care. ,

thanks for the input but this doesn't seem to be possible since I don't think you can select the last 10 seconds + the first 10 seconds at the same time

remember I need to check how it's looping from the end and back to the beginning

it's a bit strange that the ONLY way to hear a file looped happens ONLY if you start from the beginning and you have to go thru' the file every time.

hope I'm missing something :)

It is always possible to make a copy of the beginning, paste it after
the end part and work out the best fit. Use markers to keep track of
what you do.

Copy the whole file first, just to be safe.

That can work. A pre and post role would be nice though, but ah well. I have done the loop end to beginning trick to see if it would work like the prior poster suggested.

thanks for the ideas.

hope this is going to be implemented in the future. feels that's a pretty easy task since all DAWs can perform it

fingers crossed 8)
