How To Play Back Two Tracks And Hear Both

Post by normgregory »

The most insipid, naive, but frustrating question of the day.

I got two tracks . .

I am trying listen to both. . . to see how they come together.

I fumble around.

Watch me.

Help me.

Thanks.

What happens if you just hit the space bar?

Wow . . is it THAT simple??

Okay so I double click on the spot where I want to start listening . it starts to play the track in which I clicked. I hit the space bar to stop the playing of that track and hit the space bar again to play all tracks. Wow. Yep . that's the secret.

You know I look high and low in the help file . . couldn't see to find that "trick."

I guess it was counter intuitive . . . I have been trying so many editors and they all have little differences.

Thanks.

Well, it's the first sentence of section 5.4 with title "sound playback" ;-)

I saw that . . . and I knew the space bar starts and stops playback in most Mac apps.

It just didn't occur to me that this meant playing all tracks at once.

Thanks for the help.

This has got be a grueling task dealing with nimrods* like me.

*That means dopes/morons in American.
