the command g go to location dialog

Post by Martin Hairer »

Dear Paul,
I first tried simply entering 59 for 59 seconds, but that didn't seem to do it. Then, I stopped at a random point in the file, hit command g, and looked at the time format for the current position, as displayed by the "go to location" box. This shows the format with the double apostrophes. Is it true that this format is used to input time here?
You can change the format to pretty much anything you want in the "Units" preferences panel.
I was hoping that the value put into the "go to location" box, would come from the current play head position, but instead it seems to come from the cursor. Is that true?
Yes, that's correct. If you just want to jump to the current playhead position, simply type 'p'.
Regards,

Martin
