Taking an analog 2.0 recording from a mono mix and trying to derive the optimum mono. Amadeus will convert from stereo to mono, of course, but I don''t know how this is accomplished: does it just center pan each track, is there any averaging, etc? Some problems will be obvious with one track or another, but some issues are less glaring. Just curious as to what's going on under the hood and if I'm better off doing it manually.
Thanks much!

Mono recorded as stereo
Hi, it just averages the two tracks. You can see this by generating a pure stereo
sine wave and downmixing to mono: it will have the same amplitude as the stereo
wave. If however you invert the phase first, both channels will cancel out exactly.
