Muffling a sound

Post by mustbjones »

Can someone help me come up with a way to muffle a sound. I want to take an underground explosion sound and "tone it down" or muffle it somewhat.

Muffling a sound

Hi Sarah, it is quite easy to remember. The low pass filter lets the
low pass through. So it muffles the high.

mustbejones: in addition to the low pass filter you might add a
little reverb or echo to suggest the sound is coming from far away.
Experiment on a copy of your sound! That's what Amadeus is for.
