Amadeus Pro 1.3.3 dying on me

Amadeus Pro 1.3.3 dying on me
I've been an enthusiastic user of Amadeus and Amadeus Pro for years but in the past few months have found that Amadeus Pro is becoming very hard to use due to hanging and freezing.
I'm using a MacBook running OS X Leopard with 2GB of RAM, and I always close down all other applications when using Amadeus Pro. Yet when editing audio files I get the spinning beachball of doom all the time. It's making life really hard and before I give up and find another editor to use, I thought I'd ask if there was anything I could do to fix the problem, is there any incompatibility with the system I'm running and version 1.3.3?
Thanks
Jack

Question and a suggestion
Why are you running an old version?
Try editing under another user -- see if that fixes things.
I don't recall seeing comments like that so it seems more likely the
problem is not in the program.
How big are the files you are editing -- where do they come from, etc.

Whence cometh the files? Is it possible they aren't clean?
The most likely is the prefs, which a new user try should clearly show.
I have never seen instability in AP.

Have just upgraded to the latest version and it's still very unstable.
Will try logging in as another user.
