How to auto-deselect most recently recorded clip
I record a solo podcast where I record for a bit, stop, record the next bit, stop, etc.
When I stop, the clip I've just recorded is automatically selected. More times than I can count, I've started recording again not noticing the previous clip is recorded and lost that recording. On the good days, I notice that I've done it. I then select what I just recorded, copy it to a new file, back to the original file, undo to get back the part I wrote over, then copy back the new stuff. That's on the good days.
On the bad days (like today) I don't notice and publish a show with a big chunk of audio simply missing.
So my question is whether there's a setting to have the thing I just recorded before I hit stop NOT be automatically selected. I'd like the insertion point to be at the end of the clip I recorded.
Hope this makes sense!

Good idea. The version at
http://www.hairersoft.com/Downloads/AmadeusPro.zip
now includes an advanced preference that allows you to toggle this
behaviour. Regards,
Martin

Wow - did you write this just for me?
The only problem I'll have is I have the Mac App Store version because I need to use it on multiple Macs. I presume this would be pushed eventually through their arcane process?
Thank you so much Martin!

Did you reply to this Martin?
Martin -
I got really excited just now when I got an email notification that this thread had a reply. I was hoping it meant the Mac App Store version of Amadeus Pro has been updated to include this functionality.
But I came over here and I don't see a reply.
Confused,
Allison

That happens when someone posts spam to a topic. It gets moderated so doesn't show up on the forum, but the notifications still go out... Anyway, you can use that version even if you originally installed the App Store version, see
