Just updated to 2.2.2, with Mac OS X 10.10.5, and (as some previous posters noted with some earlier versions) playback and recording seem completely broken -- nothing coming through at all. The files for playback are themselves fine -- they play back perfectly in other applications -- but although the AP playback controller is registering the playback OK, no sound is coming through at all. I've used AP perfectly for many years, and it is my app of preference for all my audio editing, but it is effectively useless now! Can you please diagnose and fix a.s.a.p?!

There doesn't seem to have been any response to my previous post about AP 2.2.2 playback and recording having completely ceased to function under OS X 10.10.5. Is this a generally acknowledged issue, please, or am I the only one to be affected for some reason?! It would be good to know whether, if it is a known fault, some fix is being worked on. At the moment I am completely stuck!

Thanks, Martin. I used AppCleaner and tried again, but I still get no playback coming through (even though, as I originally said, the playback registers in the Playback Controller window when viewed). So I completely trashed everything with AppCleaner and re-installed AP 2.2.2 from your website. Still I have the same issue! There isn't anything wrong with the files, as they play perfectly in other applications, and I have also tried different audio interfaces as well as the straight headphone output from the laptop -- nothing makes any difference, and there is simply no audio out of AP at all! I am very perplexed and concerned, as I have long relied on AP for my audio editing work.

Just as a follow-up to my earlier post: I have now installed AP 2.2.2 on my son's Mac laptop, which is running El Capitan rather than Yosemite, and it seems to work perfectly! So perhaps this is a Yosemite-specific issue...? It looks as though I may have to try updating my own system to El Capitan, crossing fingers for any other possible issues with other applications, and see whether AP works properly then.

It is more likely to be an issue related to some setting on your user account, rather than Yosemite vs El Capitan (I cannot think of any change between the two OS's that would cause this). Maybe you could try creating a clean user account and running Amadeus from there? Regards,

Well, whatever the gremlin was, I seem to have solved it now! I upgraded to El Capitan, trashed everything related to AP with AppCleaner again, and then reinstalled once more from the website. Perhaps relevantly, I was asked for my license details this time, which was something that had not happened on the previous reinstallation, even though I had trashed everything on that occasion as well. And once this latest install was completed, everything worked fine. So I still don't really know what the underlying issue was, but at least it is resolved.

Hello Ron,
AP 2.2.2 and OS X 10.10.5 working perfectly here, no issues, playback and recording functioning as normal. I am running a 2013 Macbook air with a presonus 1818vsl on my home studio B setup.
