Amadeus Lite will load files and display them, but the playhead doesn't move and no sound comes out. It won't record either.

This only seems to have happened since I upgraded to Yosemite.

I am using the latest version 2.1.7.

Any suggestions?

Is your audio device working? Are the settings for the device in AP correct? I uave the same behavior when my usb audio device hangs.

I discovered that none of my audio apps were working properly. I fixed it by disconnecting the Griffin iMic I was using for input and output. It's fine now. Very peculiar.
