I spent a lot of time carefully placing markers in track 1. When I add a new track and paste a selection into it from another file, all the track 1 markers shift to the right by the length of the pasted selection. But I want the markers to stay put when I paste into another track. Is there any way to do that?

I should add that I'm using v1.5.5, and would gladly upgrade if v2 offers that capability.

Markers are objects that are global to the whole timeline and not attached to any specific track.

So no, at the moment there is no way to change this behaviour. However, I can see that this would
not be the intended behaviour in all situations. I might add an advanced preference allowing to change
this. Regards,

Martin
