Plug-in install not showing up

Post by brineflaker »

I installed this http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Audio/Dyna ... eter.shtml plug-in on my Mac, moved it to the Macintosh HD--Users--(User Name)--Audio--Components. It isn't showing up in Amadeus Pro. From my searches I understand that other people have had success with this. Anyone know if I'm doing something wrong, or looking in the wrong place in the application? Thanks so much

Macintosh HD--Users--(User Name)--Audio--Components
That should be

Macintosh HD--Users--(User Name)--Library--Audio--Plug-Ins--Components

Regards,

Martin

Plug-in install not showing up

AU plugins belong in either ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components or
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
('~' represents your home directory; the other path is from the root of your
harddrive.) Both directories should already exist.

Thanks so much for the replies. I looked in both directories and the plug-in is located in both
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

AND

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components.

Should I delete it from one of them? if so, which one? Thanks again.

You could, but this should be more or less harmless. If it doesn't show up, it is likely that it is a 32-bit plug-in and you'd have to run Amadeus in 32-bit mode. Select the application in the Finder, hit command-I ("Show Info") and check the relevant checkbox. Regards,

Martin
