I'm assembling a web based radio show interview and dropping in some songs between interview segments. But when I do, i'm getting a slight hiss sound. The hiss isn't on the original file, and I'm pasting into a WAV file...

Any thoughts on why this would happen or how I can fix?

definitely a slight hiss - not a click. The song sounds fine when I open and play it, but when i copy and paste into the file I'm using to assemble the show, suddenly the song has a slight hiss that wasn't there before.

Anyone have an idea how or why a hiss would be introduced by copy and pasting from one file to another?

Could be because of the loudness differentses. Did you try to fade the edges where they meet? When I remember right, actually there is an option to do this automatically.

All the best
