questions about markers
(yes i did a search)
I've come to Amadeus from Sound Studio.
I'm really struggling with markers.
1) is it possible to drop a marker (M key) where the travelling cursor is, not where the last insert point was?
2) is it possible to select the area between two markers by double-clicking it?
3) why are my new markers all named the same as my previous marker.
i hope these are all preferences settings somewhere that i can't find.
please help?
thanks
UPDATE
OK i can answer some of my own questions, for future searchers
1) you can cmd-Y to move the insert point to where the cursor is. then hit M.
2) alt-double-click it

Re: questions about markers
If your marker starts with a number, that will be incremented for the next marker: any text will be repeated. The contents of a new marker are highlighted so will be deleted and replaced as soon as you start typing something new.misnoma wrote: 3) why are my new markers all named the same as my previous marker.

Martin,
Any possibility of getting a -complete- list of shortcuts. The one
mentioned here isn't in the list (and I would be willing to bet there
are lots others -- wasn't there a 'P' command while recording?). If you
can't remember them all, it is no wonder we can't! It would also be
helpful if, in addition to listing the recording commands at that time,
to also have them listed in the master list of keyboard shortcuts.
