Monitoring through headphones problem
Hi- I've recently purchased Amadeus Pro to replace (cringe) Garage Band. Actually it's not that bad...
I'm a narrator and I'm having troubles getting any sound out of my headphone monitors while I record. Playback is no prob. In Garage Band you can choose to use Monitor or not. Am I missing something with Amadeus?? Isn't this possible?
I'm running from Avalon Mic Pre Amp to RME AD/DA Converter to iMac OSX 10.5.8.
Can someone please shed some light on this? I'm sorry for what may be a silly question. Thanks much!
Cheers!
Peter

Look for the "Playthrough" checkbox on the "Recording dialog"

You might see if your A/D converter permits you to patch in a
headphone there. The delay may be due to the conversion before the
signal reaches the computer. I know that the Roland Cakewalk allows
you to monitor both pre and post signals.

Gerard- that did the trick- thank you very much!!! A bit of delay in the audio but not so bad.
