I see a new release!

Yes it is! But I went back to 1.41 after trying it.

With no changes to any prefs, I recorded ambient sound in my office (radio, cars outside, etc), and the sound created was "shaky," fluctuating noise overlaying the ambient sounds. When I reinstalled 1.41, doing the same thing worked fine. Tried it several times with both versions and 1.42 always had this bug, and 1.41 works fine.

setting in the preferences. Could you please send me your preferences
file so that I have one more data point? Also, could you confirm that
1.4.2 works fine if you remove the prefs file from Library/

That fixed it. Back to 1.42.

Also, I've emailed you a my old prefs. Hope it helps.
