Pitch lower in Amadeus Pro 1.2

Post by barstep »

I have just installed the latest update (1.2) and now when I open a clip it plays at a lower pitch until I stop playback and start it again, and then it plays at the proper speed. has anyone else noticed this?

Hello,

I notice a similar thing with 1.2. I open a sound file (a MP3 file, I don't know if it is important). When playing it, every thing is fine. I add to markers to make a loop and now when playing, the pitch is lower.

When opening the pitch shifting effect dialog and playing a preview with pitch at 0 and speed at 100%, every thing is alright. But when I go back to the file, the pitch is lower again.

I run Amadeus Pro on a Macbook and Mac OS X 10.4.11.

Another thing: when copying a part of the file to as new file, the pitch of the new file is correct, but not the pitch of the original file.

You probably set it to play back at a lower pitch/speed without
noticing. This can be changed in the "Playback" window. Regards,

Martin

The down arrow lowers the playback speed. Even if you did not intentionally press it.

Hello,

sorry, I have not used Amadeus Pro since there. You are right, GerardBik, this is just because I had pressed arrow keys :D .

Thanks!

I plan to release version 1.2.1 tomorrow. One of the changes there is
that if no sound is being played back, then the up / down arrow keys
move the selection from one channel to the other instead of changing
the playback pitch. This should make it less confusing.

Martin

AU Presets

My personal silence meant: "don't know nothing useful to say".
sorry

Alrighty, I'll take the deafening silence as a "no."

So I take it that the new behaviour is indeed more intuitive... Happy
to hear that ;-)
