Waves audio unit not working in Amadeus Pro 2.4.2
I have just bought the IR1 reverb audio unit from Waves, a highly reputable plug-in that was recommended to me by a colleague. When I try to run any Waves audio unit in Amadeus Pro, it returns an error box 'The Audio Unit 'IR-L full (s)' could not be applied. It can probably not handle sounds with 2 channel(s).' This is clearly nonsense, and there is presumably some kind of incompatibility. I am not a music tech specialist, and would be grateful for any hints on how I can get this reverb unit to work within Amadeus Pro.

RE: IR-1 Waves

I've only been able to get Amadeus Pro to open waves plug-in with the license on the HD. I usually keep licenses on a USB key for authorizations on consoles live.
What have you done to get it working as of now?

Well, to be honest I'm not entirely sure what I did! I'm a bit of an idiot with this stuff, and only try and use it on an ad hoc basis, rather than being a full-on music tech guy. But when I had the problem, I opened the Waves Central app to look at my licensing set-up, and simply re-sent the licenses for the plug-in that I had just bought (the IR1 Convolution Reverb), plus a previous suite, to my laptop, where I needed them. After I had done that, it all opened in Amadeus Pro fine, whereas previously all the Waves plug-ins were just greyed out. So I concluded that I had just been stupid before, and not allocated the licenses to my machine properly. Whatever it was, it's OK now, though.
Best,

I am a total idiot with this stuff. My Waves plugins completely stopped working when I updated Waves Central and downloaded a demo I wanted to try. The plugins don't show up anymore. I called Waves support and even though I have purchased their support plan, when he heard I didn't use one of their supported platforms, he was unwilling to help beyond telling me to reinstall the plugins. Which I did and they still don't work. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I've been using the plugins since 2015 with no issues until today.
