Generate silence leaves clicks
Sorry -- I presumed you were selecting a section and then filling to silence the selection. If so, there is an option in selection to expand to a crossing Chuck On 2/4/14 6:45 PM, AlphaSmith wrote: I don't see that as an option when generating silence. ??? ___________________________________________...

Do you select the region and then ask the program to select to the next zero crossing? Audio peaking after compressing down to mp3
I once wrote a procedure in Igor (a scientific program) that could often improve things. Looking at the screen shot, it might actually help your file. Assuming I can find the code, I could try it on your data (I am assuming that you don't have igor). Basically what I did was find the clip sections, ...

After Editing does Amadeus recompress the file?
I think this is correct. When you read the file in, AP expands the file to an uncompressed format so that you can work on it. Then if you save it to an mp3, it will have to recompress it. I think there are only a limited number of things that one can do with an mp3 file without expanding it. Chuck O...

Standardizing track volume
No -- not at all; that value was just an example. Go through your clips and find the rms average and the peak. Then normalize to the largest difference value. That way you can be sure that 1) your output is as high as possible and 2) you have no clipping. For spoken word, you might well want to use ...

My recollection is that, at least in 1.5, when I load multiple tracks in, the title of the file is in the little box. Supress NON-continuous background noise?
You could try taking the orchestra and drum tracks, inverting them, lowering the level and adding to the voice track. It might help. tab should do it. If you want to have a dialog to label the marker, use "m" (lower case). (page 17 of help manual). Chuck On 2/15/13 1:37 PM, Sarah k Alawami wrote: Hello. Is it possible to drop markers while recording a file, and I don't mean stopping a file and dropping a marker in. I me...

I am afraid I have the old version, but in the preference, there is a "display follows playback" -- the playback head does not always stay exactly in the middle but very close. I suspect it is done that way to take the strain off the CPU. Chuck On 2/2/13 8:39 PM, ioannis wrote: thanks CDJo...

Does Amadeus Pro Have ANY Technical Support??
Comment -- Most of us who have worked with AP over the years have found Martin quite responsive. I keep in mind my experience with other programs. For example it took Digital Equipment years ago a week to decide I had found a bug in a minor program called Fortran and approximately 2 years to fix it....

Note, for default settings, one gets the same size file for a mono and a stereo file if it is saved as an mp3 in AP 1 -- don't know about 2 yet as this computer is too old for that. Are you sure they are identical? You can check by using the stereo utilities to invert one track and then convert to mono. If they are identical, you will get a straight line.
