Well... this is very sad that I haven't had any resolution to this problem and it appears that I've just been "dumped" because it's not something easily fixed (whatever it is). I've been a registered user of Amadeus for a really long time and have purchased all the updates, but... I think ...

OK. I've done this and you can see by the screenshot that it's still not working. Audio Hijack is nowhere to be found on my laptop, not even in the trash and soundflower is gone too. And I also restarted. This is just too wierd!

Here's related information for you. I've done a Google search for info on the CheckupAgent and tried to follow the advice given for uninstalling that which isn't installed on my computer. I've rid my library of all the files they said were associated and restarted my computer. I guess that did somet...

On the forgotten question above: I don't have a clue what CheckUpAgent is. I cannot find that in my application folder or utilities folder either. I can't find it on my hard drive at all. So, I haven't the faintest idea what it is or where it came from.

Concerning the Quality settings: The Sampling rate is 44,100 Hz; the sampling depth is 16 bits; the channel Config is Stereo (front) I disabled the web sharing tab but there wasn't any difference in ability to record to Amadeus. Here are two screen shots. The first one is as it was when I opened the...

Here is what the Console shows after I cleared the display and then did as you instructed. I also unchecked the playthrough button and tried it again with the same result. The listing at the 11:31 hour was with the Playthrough unchecked. (the Console did not open automatically as I had thought it wo...

It's writing the temp files to the internal hard drive which has 117.9 GB of space available.
No, Time Machine wasn't running during any of the times I've tried to record.

Here is a screen shot of the program in action (or should I say NOT action). Please note that line-in is the input in Amadeus and that the record button is pushed and that the timer hasn't moved and there's no level on the VU. Also note that the system pane is showing line-in as selected and there i...

Re: Can't record using line-in on MacBook Pro

Are there any error messages printed to the Console? Also, do the vu- meters move in Amadeus's recording window? I guess this must be mystifying to not only me, because I've answered this question about the VU meters a few times now in these posts. No, they don't move. The new question about the Co...

Did you already try restarting Amadeus and the computer?
In my second post I mentioned that I had restarted Amadeus several times. I didn't mention about restarting the computer... but I did that too.

Can't record using line-in on MacBook Pro

OK.... my misunderstanding. I thought it strange that someone would come right out and tell me my question was stupid. Sorry for not getting it right. But... to answer the question: Line-in is selected in Amadeus as well as in the system prefs. It says so within Amadeus too. As far as I can tell I h...

Re: Can't record using line-in on MacBook Pro

Stupid question, but are you absolutely 100% sure that you have selected the correct input in Amadeus's sound preferences? Is the correct iput source displayed in the recording window? Do the vu- meters in Amadeus Pro move? Regards, Well... I didn't think it was a stupid question. I try to read man...

Can't record using line-in on MacBook Pro

I'm using Pro version 1.3.3 and I'm stumped. I recorded two songs from a cassette recording using a the line-in jack on the MackBook Pro and the Line out jacks on the cassette recorder. It worked fine. I paused the playback of the cassette recorder and edited the two songs. Then I started a new file...
