Spacebar to start/stop Sonogram playback
I haven't seen this brought up since 2008. If it's been fixed, I can't find where and how. Pressing the spacebar in a sonogram window doesn't cause playback to stop or start. Pressing Escape to lose focus doesn't help. I can use Keyboard Maestro to simulate the necessary keypresses, but it's clums...

Gaps in converted MP3 files
Amadeus 1.4.3 is exhibiting new behaviour: when I use it to convert an MP3 file to AIFF (or WAVE), it randomly sets the output amplitude to zero for short periods of time, typically .010 or .024 sec. In other words, the converted file has short gaps in it. The total duration of the converted file is...

If you've got a lot of declicking to do, I strongly suggest that you look at ClickRepair. (Google finds it easily.) It does an amazingly good job at a small price, much better than Martin's interpolator (sorry Martin) and much better than Izotope's RX. ClickRepair can repair hundreds of clicks in mu...

Problem with new plugin
I've just discovered a plugin which permits spectrum editing of the waveform: Spectro from Stillwell Audio (http://www.stillwellaudio.com/?page_id=32). Exciting and potentially very useful. I've tried Pristine Sounds to do spectrum editing and it's slow, imprecise and works in a tiny little non-resi...

Can't control input level
Thanks everybody for the ideas and suggestions. I'm surprised this topic received so much attention. Like you I'm surprised that devices which allegedly operate at line level have no headroom. My phono stage (pre-amp) is the highly-regarded Graham Slee Jazz Club. I'm not about to abandon it for a ch...

Can't control input level
This may have been answered elsewhere, but if it has, I can't find it. I'm doing the popular thing, transferring some of my vinyl collection to digital, and am having trouble with clipping. An LP (or more usually a 45) recorded at too high a level drives Amadeus into clipping when recording. The car...
