Have not heard back.
This continues to be an issue, for some reason it does not happen in Sound Edit Pro? Below is the latest saved sample from activity monitor. Any help on this issue would be appreciated. Sampling process 6988 for 3 seconds with 1 millisecond of run time between samples Sampling completed, processing ...

Another note on behavoir
I found this same thing happens with Audacity and then what I found is that it happens to do with whether I start the DAT tape at the VERY start, if I rewind it to the end and push play, this crash happens every time, if I forward it just a second or two, it does not? Thanks for your continued suppo...

plist
I tried trashing the prefs, but the same thing happens.
I start record, I hit the play button on the DAT player, as soon as the first bit of data gets to Amadeus, the numbers in the record window stop and the beach ball starts.
Thanks,
Henry

Hangs/Crashes after start record from optical
I am importing audio from a Sony DAT player. The first transfer I made went just fine, but now when I start the playback, Amadeus Pro just hangs, I don't see any level indications in the record window, the beach ball starts and the "Application is not responding" I am able to import the au...

All is good
AS you suggested, the proof is in the burn. The burn went fine, audio sounds great, track markers are in place. All is well. Still confused why the individual files are so large? I mean if I take one of these extracted AIFF files and just open it in Amadeus Pro and save it, it gets cut done in size ...

More confusion?
I tried saving out a file in Amadeus using U-LAW 2:1 compression. The file is indeed about half the size of the original. When I drop it into Toast for burning, it gets converted again and gets even smaller? The I tried dropping some of the uncompressed files into Toast. They drop in without going t...

Hmmm?
I guess what I am trying to understand is that there are indeed compression schemes under the AIFF format. U-LAW, MACE and a few more. Audio CD data runs around 800 megs for 80 mins, I have files that are AIFF, but are 2-3 times that size, clearly there is a way to get them onto a CD without burning...

Setting track marks for CD burn?
I have a concert audio file that is a continuous stream. I want to add track marks for a DAO burn? If I add "markers" in Amadeus Pro, do those equal tracks when I burn the file, even if I save it out and burn it using Toast? Or, the real question is, what is the best way to add track info ...

Setting AIFF compression?
I have a AIFF file I exported from a DVD, it is quite large, uncompressed audio running over 4.5 gigs for 3 hours of audio. My assumption is that I should compress this audio using one of the AIFF schemes, U-LAW, MACE, etc. in order to get it to the best size to fits on standard audio CD's? What are...
