LUFS in Amadeus Pro?
If you need to meet A/85 (US) or R128 (EU) specifications a simple LUFS meter based on RMS is not satisfactory as the target value required by both require loudness across the entire program (with gating of low level material) as well as True Peak limiting to meet the spec. Average program level spe...

audiobook formats
I use AudioBookBinder (available in the mac app store) to turn mp3 (and other formats) into audiobook format with metadata and cover art. Book looks interesting. Files burn to CD in .aiff format, not as .mp3
Audio CD's by definition are 44kHz, 16-bit. They can only fit around 70 minutes of audio. Period. Anything else won't play in a normal good-old-fashioned CD player. 20-bit audio?
I don't think Amadeus will do this, but correct me if I'm wrong or please make other suggestions. Does anyone know how I can create 20- bit wav files from 24-bit on Mac OS? I can do this on a PC in Wavelab, but am struggling with a Mac solution. We make audio for Blu-Ray titles for film studios and ...

Help - does anybody have a way of opening OMF files on a Mac
Pro Tools (all versions) requires DigiTranslator to deal with OMF. Unfortunately it is not free. OMF is an AVID/Digidesign format. I haven't seen any free translators. Export of large files in wav format failing
Hey Martin, not to change the subject, but I was under the understanding that WAV used a 32-bit unsigned integer for it's file size header, thus allowing for 4Gb maximum file size. If an application addresses this value as signed the limit is halved to 2GB, but this was application dependent. I'm ju...

Export of large files in wav format failing
Strange sample rate, but... There is a limit to WAV files. Technically they can be no larger than 4GB, and some applications only support 2GB WAV (not sure about Amadeus Pro).
