Can't launch Amadeus Pro if DVCPROHDAudio.plugin is present
I recently ran into problem, I couldn't launch Amadeus Pro. Tried to remove plugins until I found that the cause of this problem is DVCPROHDAudio.plugin (v.1.3.2, made by Apple, Inc. 2004-2009, Universal binary). As soon as I removed it I could launch Amadeus Pro. Is there some incompatibility or wh...

Re: How to set recording bitrate?
The documentation is another matter. I haven't needed it for some time. So your observations are valuable. Maybe someone should write "Amadeus for dummies" to give new users an idea where to start. Maybe author could could take some youngster, sit him at the computer, open his application...

Re: How to set recording bitrate?
And to change an existing sound click the "16 Bit/ 44.1 kHz" in the lower left corner. My oh my… It would never come into my mind to click on the status bar to change bitrate! There's nothing to suggest that this field is clickable! I looked at it as info field. The more I use Amadeus, th...

How to set recording bitrate?
Sorry, one more question. I cannot find in Help how I can change or set other bitrate than 16 bits. By default it's 16 bits. I record using Apogee Duet, and it's supposed to give 24 bit stream, but the result in Amadeus is 16 bit AIFF file. In File menu there is "New Sound…" command, and …...

Re: Inserting silence / converting selection to silence
Effects>Generate Silence... Hmmm, really interesting approach. I searched Help how to insert silence, but there was no information about it there. Somehow it never dawned to me that silence can be effect, and should be generated. At least for me logical place for this command was Edit menu. Anyway,...

Inserting silence / converting selection to silence

Markers during recording
Hi,
Could you please add button to insert markers during recording? I record lectures and from time to time main speaker or his/her translator makes some mistakes, and I'd like to mark those places so that when I finish recording I could easily find those places and could edit them.

Pencil tool and automatic Extend to Crossing selection
I also second Pencil tool. In some cases it's very useful. I can make waveform exactly as I need it to be. Another feature request - Selection menu > "Extend to Crossing" could be an option in the preferences. I'd like to have it always on. Otherwise I have to remember to press Option+Comm...
