a small video matter
Ray, I have great respect for blind people editing audio in Amadeus. But the idea of editing video with VoiceOver truly amazes me. iMovie is very good for a quick edit. But it is intended to be used visually. I wonder if VoiceOver functionality is built in. A google search on iMovie and VoiceOver pr...

Seamless loop playback from any point
It is always possible to make a copy of the beginning, paste it after the end part and work out the best fit. Use markers to keep track of what you do. Copy the whole file first, just to be safe. -- ______________________ _ Gerard Bik grafische vormgeving Van Aerssenstraat 263 2582 JM Den Haag 070 3...

Try the checkbox called "Loop playback" in the lower left corner of the window. -- ______________________ _ Gerard Bik grafische vormgeving Van Aerssenstraat 263 2582 JM Den Haag 070 3554081 Website: http://www.biknewz.nl IEDP gecertificeerd _______________________________________________ ...

Please help- Really? No DAW with audible waveform editing?
Mike, maybe if you get to know more Amadeus tricks, you will see the possibilities instead of the impossibilities. I for instance like the trick of hitting "p" while playing back. It instantly creates a marker. Later I can go back and name the markers and maybe reposition them. For difficu...

Looping
Old AmadeusPro 1.5.5 that I still use, has a checkbox "Loop playback" at the lower left edge of the window. Don't know how this is implemented in more recent versions. Gerard -- ______________________ _ Gerard Bik grafische vormgeving Van Aerssenstraat 263 2582 JM Den Haag 070 3554081 Webs...

Too Many Sounds In a File?
You seem to be on the right track. When you really want to know what goes wrong, check every single step in the process. One by one, like a scientist would. You now changed about everything at once. But you do have the cd you were after. My guess is that the problem was from the media. 693MB is awfu...

Good quality reverb
I had a lot of fun experimenting with the free demo of QuickQuack Rayspace. It is an AU reverb using virtual spaces. The preset spaces can be edited extensively. If you can think of a convenient way to add markers between the pasted parts, you can use 'Split according to markers...' when you are done. The menu item "Mark selection" might be uselful. -- ______________________ _ Gerard Bik grafische vormgeving Van Aerssenstraat 263 2582 JM Den Haag 0...

Enhancing/amplifying distant sounding or muted vocals
Chuck is right, bringing the voice to the front is not really possible. The voice frequencies can be enhanced with an equalizer. Cut everything above 5000 Hz and below 800 Hz, and enhance the part in between. Play around with the sliders until hearing the voice is easier. But this "telephone so...

How to mitigate an echo
Everyone who likes to record audio will someday encounter this echo problem. Audio software can do a lot, but not remove an already recorded echo. An awkward situation, but hey most of us have learned to live with it. At the time and place of the recording there are all kinds of precautions possible...

Movie soundtrack: how can I overlay part of it with a diff
When you check "Show Volume" under the "View" menu, the envelope line will be visible at the top of every track. It is intended to locally adjust the volume of the sound. Click on the line and a point appears, click some more points and drag those points to adjust sound level. I ...

Movie soundtrack: how can I overlay part of it with a diff
Hi Larry The safest way is to leave the original as it is. That way the length stays the same. Copy a part and choose Edit> Paste to New Track from the menu Now you have the pasted fragment in its own track ready to be moved. Use the envelope to fade out one track and fade in the other. That way you...
