I kind of agree that it was/is a nice feature in Peak, but in AP there is a better alternative to smashing your eardrums... just use the "vertical zoom" slider (bottom right) and shift it to maximum - then you will see the envelope rising and the exact position where it starts.

Even better would be an "avoid clipping" checkbox that adds an extra scan for the maximum peak and cuts the RMS normalization to the hugest possible value (up to the requested level, of course). Audacity actually does this in the "Amplify" filter, it shows the new maximum peak, s...

Pardon me... but "mda Stereo" is free and works like a charm. Just tested it with AP 2 and it does work... The only obstacle is that the link that i gave above leads to an outdated version "mda 2.0" from 2002... However, if you just click on "developer mda" on that page...

Maybe a very silly question, but why can't you just use... mdastereo? Just tried it with AP 2 and it works like a charm...

Sorry for waking it up from deep sleep again... Since I got the Magic Mouse I now worked on a multi-track project for the first time and it wasn't until now that I entirely realized how difficult the behaviour really is... The odd thing is that the Magic Mouse actually does scroll vertically as soon...

I would still love to have an option to place the vertical zoom to the up/down movement of the Magic Mouse. You often make (unwanted) slight movements changing the horizontal zoom - which is annoying. The vertical zoom would be 100% more intuitive and can also be easily corrected - I guess most peop...

Various 2.x bugs...

I'd love to be an early adopter, but running the first quick tests in demo mode turned out to be a bit frustrating. First thing I tried, was "Split Clip" - resulting in: [<HSUndoManager> setValue:forUndefinedKey:]: this class is not key value coding-compliant for the key HSGapsList. Second...

Re: Magic Mouse problem and suggestion(s)

The default behaviour is actually the correct one, namely that a left/right movement causes a horizontal scroll. Thank you, and shame on me for not looking closer before writing... I'm afraid that there probably was something damaged here - I do know for sure that I never touched this pref but the ...

Magic Mouse problem and suggestion(s)

Hi Martin, it has been posted already by someone else, but I think it's worth a separate topic. There is currently a huge oddity between AP and the Magic Mouse which makes it very difficult to handle AP with it. At present, the vertical scrollbar gets triggered by an up/down movement with the finger...

Re: Edit Multiple Track Simultaneously

Yes, that's a bug, thanks for pointing it out. Hitting "m" to create the marker will put it at the correct location though. Regards, Just a note... the bug survived in the recent 1.5.5 - but thanks for the tip with the "m". I didn't try before because I thought the shortcut and ...

Re: Edit Multiple Track Simultaneously

As Chuck pointed out, markers are not assigned to specific tracks. Any news on the bug (I consider it to be a bug) that markers are always placed in a position starting from the first track? I mean this: Track 1 is 60 seconds long, Track 2 is 30 seconds long and starts 10 seconds after Track 1. I s...

I was actually hoping that this would have been fixed in the new update, but sadly it isn't... Just to repeat it in order to avoid misunderstandings, this is what happens: - you have 2 tracks, one (A) starts at the beginning, the second one (B) is shifted to "the right", so it starts after...

While this would be a great feature, I actually miss one thing much more: There should be an option to visibly apply the gain/envelope adjustments. The envelope is a great and mighty tool, but without any visual feedback (when moving points) you are mostly blind-folded and forced to do a quite time-...

The same is true for .Sd2f (Sound Designer II) files - the old Roxio JAM 6 exports to that format, including track makers and regions. This is especially useful because it includes the ability to have sound in the pauses. Peak Lite used to open them with all markers, so you could edit it - but Amade...
